Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director, and supermodel. Known for her elegant beauty her endurance in the demanding film industry shows her talents and abilities as performer. Young model she first began modeling in the 70s. Then she became a household name in the modeling industry. Following her studies in acting Russo started her modeling career in Los Angeles. In 1987, Russo portrayed Eden Kendell in ABC's drama Sable. The first film she acted in, Major League was released just two years after. Russo portrayed Tom Berengers 'love interest. The critics were initially skeptical about her ability as an actor, but her consistent performance enthused them. Her performance in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak was particularly admired by critics, as she stood up to Dustin Hoffman or Morgan Freeman. She has admitted that she's not particularly interested in acting. She decided in 2005 to take a long, self-imposed hiatus. Then, she made her comeback in Thor. Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes in the UFC. She began her professional career as an amateur athlete performing various regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. And after that, she signed with Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her success in and out from the Octagon have helped make her an international brand after she joined the UFC. Namajunas was born on the 29th of June 1992 at Milwaukee Wisconsin. His birthplace was brought up by the same Lithuanian family. As a child, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships were her first fight in professional. She was just 18 and had already won two bouts via submission. Dana White was impressed and signed Rose to UFC's strawweight division when she was 22, in December 2014. The career of Rose has been full of extremes, as well as lows but she's always capable of coming out of her fights with a win. In April, 2015 Rose was a part of the fight against Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in which she was victorious by technical knockout just 3 minutes in Round One and not just champion but being named Fighter Of The Night along making history in MMA because this was the for the first time in history that woman was a champion with a major promoter worldwide . Namajunas was victorious in several bouts after this fight and was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
